We transported real heavyweights from Butzbach to Lagos in Nigeria for the Baobab Initiative for Life Development. The association from Pfinztal organizes aid for children in Nigeria; our specific transport involved building materials for the construction of a school.

The plan was therefore to organize the sea freight from Hamburg to the port of Lagos. On board the container were backhoe loaders, saws, jackhammers, concrete mixers and other materials. Not forgetting toys for children. With an impressive total weight of 15 tons, the container was to set off.

But first an obstacle had to be cleared out of the way: There was a vehicle in the container that was not listed on the consignment note. For this reason, the original documents first had to be sent back from Nigeria to Germany to be corrected. Fortunately, we were able to keep the transit time and costs for this additional work to a minimum and deliver the freight on May 22nd. On June 23, the building materials arrived at the port of Lagos without further incident and were able to continue their journey to Kuje.
